OREANDA-NEWS. KSK Board of Directors has approved the directions of terminal development up to 2017. The project is expected to increase the throughput capacity of the terminal up to 5.0 million tonnes.

The project's characteristics will allow to moore two Panamax vessels at the same time at berths with depths of up to 14.1m. It is planned to launch additional auto and rail reception, four additional silos and a new laboratory.

Implementation of the programme will allow

to increase grain storage capacity up to 155,000 tonnes (+45,000 tonnes)

to handle vessels of more than 60,000 DWT

to reduce total time on shifting vessels

to increase the speed of rail and auto reception from 400 to 550 trucks per day

to increase grain throughput and improve the quality of service

Construction works are scheduled to be launched in 2016. The project is expected to be completed in 2017.
