OREANDA-NEWS. RusRating has announced the appointment of Anton Tabakh as Director of Regional Government and Infrastructure Project Ratings.

Tabakh will be responsible for analysing the creditworthiness of Russian regional and local governments, as well as infrastructure projects, together with the preparation of reports on regional governments' financial condition and debt burden. He will also be involved in other agency activities.

Before coming to RusRating from December 2013 until November 2014 Tabakh was senior economist with the Institute for Energy and Finance (Moscow).

From 2011-2013 he was senior analyst (fixed income instruments) with Uralsib Capital and from 2008-2010 senior analyst at the investment company Troika Dialog with responsibility for debt market strategy in Russia and CIS countries, Russian regional government debt and interest rates.

From August 1998 through January 2007 he worked as a developing markets economist at the New York and Moscow offices of AllianceBernstein, where he specialised in CIS countries and eastern Europe.

Tabakh has a bachelor's degree in economics from the University of Missouri and an MBA from the University of Illinois. He is also a Chartered Financial Analyst and holds a senior economics degree from Moscow State University. He is currently a lecturer at the National Research University Upper School of Economics.
