OREANDA-NEWS. November 28, 2014. The exhibition took place in Amsterdam RAI, the Netherlands, on November, 24/25. World Bulk Wine Expo (WBWE) is the most large-scale European forum to bring together makers and buyers of bulk wine from all over the world, a press release of the National Vine-and-Wine Office reads.

This year, the forum attracted winemakers from 18 countries, including Moldova. The exhibition was attended by Ambassador of Moldova in The Hague Emilian Brenici and Deputy Director of the National Vine-and-Wine Office Vitalie Panuta, who made a report on specificities of Moldova’s winemaking. According to Vitalie Panuta, this unique event has given Moldovan winemakers a unique opportunity to establish contacts with international wine buyers, distributors and brokers which appreciated quality of Moldova’s wine. The exhibition space was divided into four zones.

In the exhibition zone, during 2 days, 10 wineries of Moldova sharing the single stand were displaying 60 kinds of Moldovan wine to thousands of guests among those there were international buyers of bulk wine. In Silent Tasting Room the buyers were offered to try Moldovan wine, making a judgment only from quality of the beverage and the label on a bottle. In the business zone business meetings and talks took place.

In the conference zone the International Organization of Vine and Wine organized presentations to facilitate the exchange of experience among best wine experts. All the participation costs of Moldovan winemakers were covered by the National Vine-and-Wine Fund, whose key objective is to diversify markets and promote Moldovan wines within the national programme “Wines of Moldova. A Living Legend”.
