OREANDA-NEWS. The Kolskaya NPP generated 977.1 million KWh of electricity in November. Total production for the year has amounted to 9 285,7 million KWh of electricity, which is more than the production in the same period last year on 80.7 million KWh. The NPP has generated 378.7 billion KWh of electricity since the start-up.

There are all 4 power units in work at the moment. The nuclear power plant carries the load of 1400 MW according to the dispatch schedule.

The radiation situation doesn't differ from natural natural background around an arrangement of the Kolskaya nuclear power plant and in a 30-kilometer zone of supervision.

The Kolskaya nuclear power plant is a branch of the JSC "Concern Rosenergoatom". The station is located in 200 km to the South from Murmansk on the shore of the Lake Imandra. It develops about 60% of the electric power in Murmansk region. There are 4 power units in operation with VVER reactors of 440 MW capacity each. The Kolskaya nuclear power plant is the supplier of the electric power for Murmansk region and Karelia.
