OREANDA-NEWS. The Japanese company plans to expand the production of automotive components in the Volga region - in the area of Tolyatti and Izhevsk, where cars of alliance Renault-Nissan are manufactured, said the head of the Japan Association for Trade with Russia and the Newly Independent States (ROTOBO) in Russia, Nakai Takafumi.

"Japanese companies are now investing increasingly in the automotive industry. In Russia there are assembled cars Nissan, Toyota and Mitsubishi, and companies, which produce components for each of the actual car, come after them from Japan", - the agency" Interfax-Volga"cited Mr.Takafumi.

"Volga region and Udmurtia are the centers of the automotive industry in Russia, so it is natural that in Togliatti and Izhevsk, Nissan assembles its cars now. And so the production of automotive components must be also located in this region, ie, in the area of Tolyatti and Izhevsk", - he added.
