OREANDA-NEWS. A group of young people, who made a worthy contribution to the development of our country, were awarded with the badges of "O’zbekiston belgisi" (Mark of Uzbekistan) at Turkistan Palace.

The event participants visited the Mustaqillik Square and laid wreath to the foot of the Monument of Independence and Humanism, a symbol of our freedom, bright future and noble aspirations. 

In accordance with the resolution of the President Islam Karimov on 4 August 2003, this award is bestowed to the young people, showing high patriotic feelings and dedication in the name of increasing the prestige, honor and glory of the Motherland on the basis of national spiritual and cultural heritage and human values and actively involved in the construction of the state with great future. 

In accordance with a decision of the Central Council of Kamolot Youth Social Movement, 28 of our young compatriots were rewarded with chest badges “Uzbekiston Belgisi”. This high award, established on the initiative of President Islam Karimov, goes every year to those young individuals who assist the growth in the international standing of our native land with their selflessness, remarkable accomplishments in studies, work, science, creativity, culture and sports, those who set an example of energetic involvement in the socio-political life of the country.

The 6 February 2014 presidential resolution on additional measures dedicated to the conduct of youth policy in Uzbekistan serves for the elevation of effectiveness of these endeavors. 

Young people who have received the badges of "O’zbekiston belgisi" expressed their sincere gratitude to the head of our state for constant attention and care about the youth, and noted that further they will work for the prosperity of the Motherland with even more enthusiasm.
