OREANDA-NEWS. The Federal Service for Veterinary and Phytosanitary Control of Russia (Rosselkhoznadzor) now complains about Miory meat-packing factory, which has not sold its merchandise to Russia for the last 1.5 years Belarusian Deputy Agriculture and Food Minister Igor Brylo reported after the meeting involving representatives of the Belarusian ministry and the Russian party on December 1.

"Today the Rosselkhoznadzor website listed Miory meat-packing factory as a company, whose products allegedly contain the genome of the African swine fever virus. However the company has not exported its products to Russia for the last 1.5 years," said Igor Brylo. The Belarusian side suggested that Rosselkhoznadzor should investigate the fact.

Last week the Belarusian party sent a proposal to Rosselkhoznadzor head Sergei Dankvert suggesting the joint testing of products of the Belarusian companies, which had been banned by Russia. "We have suggested setting up several working groups, who could take samples of products made by our processing enterprises and test them in our labs. Then our specialists could assist with similar lab tests in Russia. After that we will be able to clearly and transparently answer each other's questions," noted Igor Brylo. In his words, the proposals of the Belarusian side will be discussed at the meeting in Minsk on December 2.
