OREANDA-NEWS. Belarus' government plans to restrain inflation growth to 12% in 2015, according to the official forecast approved by the President of Belarus. Entitled "The basic parameters of Belarus' 2015 socioeconomic forecast", the document was approved by President Lukashenko's ordinance #550 of December 1, 2014 and officially posted on Wednesday.

Belarus will use monetary instruments to restrain inflation growth in the context of internal and domestic macroeconomic conditions, the document said.

Belarus was there to witness a 1.2% inflation growth in October 2014, while in January-October 2014 consumer prices grew 14.8%. Belarus' government expects inflation growth at 17.3% in 2014 (December on December). Belarus' consumer prices grew 16.5% in 2013, while the government's forecast stood at 12%.
