OREANDA-NEWS. On December 10 JSC ZiO-Podolsk (forming part of JSC Atomenergomash, the machine-building division of Rosatom) delivered the fourth steam generator to the Tianwan NPP (China). Thus, the company supplied this type of equipment to the third power unit of the NPP completely and in due time.

The Tianwan NPP is one of the largest joint power industry projects of Russia and China. Various types of equipment for this power plant were manufactured by several enterprises of the holding company at a time: ZiO-Podolsk, TsKBM, and SNIIP. The technical design and construction documents for PGW steam generators have been developed by OKB "GIDROPRESS" and Engineering Company ZIOMAR. "Important tasks for next year include completing the delivery of steam generators for the fourth NPP unit properly and in due time," said CEO of JSC Atomenergomash Andrey Nikipelov.

A steam generator forms part of the reactor plant's main circulation circuit and is designed for producing dry saturated steam. The equipment has capacity of 753 MW and comes with a 40-year warranty. The V-428M reactor unit with the capacity of 1,000 MW includes four PGW-1000 steam generators. To deliver outsize cargo, a unique transport and logistics plan has been developed. About 1,800 tons (this is the weight of 4 steam generators with associated equipment and components for one power unit) of freight are delivered to the plant by railway and by sea.
