OREANDA-NEWS. The risks of launch of Soyuz-FG carrier rocket with Soyuz TMA-15M transport manned spaceship, which took place on 24 November 2014, as well as the risks of its docking with the International Space Station are insured by SOGAZ OJSC and Ingosstrakh OJSIC for 2.24 billion rubles. The insured is "Center for Operation of Space Ground-Based Infrastructure" Federal State Unitary Enterprise (COSGBI FSUE).

The transport manned spaceship is insured against full loss in case of an emergency launch and during docking with the International Space Station (ISS). The contract is made upon conditions of coinsurance according to the results of an open tender. The share of each company is 50%.

Launch of Soyuz-FG space rocket with Soyuz TMA-15M transport manned spaceship took place on 24 November from the launching site of pad No. 31 of Baikonur Cosmodrome. The prime crew for the 42nd and 43rd long-term expeditions to the ISS is made up of Anton Shkaplerov (Roscosmos), Samantha Cristoforetti (ESA), and Terry Virts (NASA), the back-up crew is made up of Oleg Kononenko (Roscosmos), Kimia Yui (JAXA), Chell Lindgren (NASA). The crew will spend 170 days in orbit and will conduct more than 200 scientific experiments.
