OREANDA-NEWS. Passenger traffic at Charlotte Douglas jumped 2.5 percent from 36,239,552 fliers January - October 2013 to 37,155,285 during that same time period in 2014. The tenth consecutive month of rising traveler numbers puts CLT on track of surpassing last year's record breaking year of more than 43 million passengers.

That's not the only upswing. Passengers flying abroad rose 4.6 percent from 2,440,288 travelers (January - October 2013) to 2,551,910 (January - October 2014).

Cargo numbers also increased, bouncing 2.2 percent from 108,211 tons during the first ten months of 2013 to 110,641 tons in 2014.  

Operations continued experiencing 2,551,910 (January - October 2014).  a slight decrease due to American Airlines', who operates more than 90 percent of CLT flights, realignment of operations. Aircraft movements dipped 2.4 percent from 466,458 landings and departures (January - October 2013) to 455,210 through October 2014.
