OREANDA-NEWS. To investigate the effect of economic conditions on the decision to buy a new car, it was offered for respondents to select one of six possible answers to the question: "How can the deterioration of the economic situation influence on your plans to buy a car?"

"Refuse to buy (postponed)" - so said 25% of Russians. And it is the leading response. In second place with 20.8% was the phrase "I'll consider the buying of a budget car." However, one in five respondents (20%) do not intend to abandon the purchase due to the unstable economic situation in the country.

Almost ten percent (9.7%) chose "I'll consider the buying of used cars". There are those who will buy the car earlier than it was planned - they turned out to be 6.2%. The share of those, who stopped on the option "undecided", was 18.3%.

Such data was received by specialists of AA "AUTOSTAT" in a survey of nearly 2,000 car owners during the annual survey "Preferences of Russian consumers in the car market", held in November of 2014.
