OREANDA-NEWS. Speech of  Chief Operating Officer Honda of America Mfg. Tom Shoupe:

"Our new Honda Heritage Center in Marysville, Ohio, officially opened last week, including a new museum highlighting Honda's 55-year history of sales, R&D and manufacturing operations in North America, and a Technical Development Center to advance the skills of our associates.

The museum in the Honda Heritage Center provides us with an incredible opportunity to share our dreams – past, present and future – through a unique collection of Honda products, technologies and stories that focus on the challenging spirit of the Honda associates that have made it all possible.

The new Technical Development Center housed in the Honda Heritage Center is focused on advancing the skills of Honda engineers, equipment service technicians, and production associates involved in the creation of Honda products. This is a key new facility in our effort to meet the challenges of the 21st Century of manufacturing.

We look forward to sharing our excitement in this new facility and the history of Honda in North America, when the Heritage Center opens to the public in January, 2015. Until then, please accept our best wishes for a very Happy Holidays."
