OREANDA-NEWS. December 24, 2014. The Lithuanian Business Confederation (LBC) has announced and awarded the winners of the Service of the Year competition. The “Management Innovation of the Year” prize has been presented to SORAINEN for launching sector groups providing legal services focused on specific business sectors.

According to LBC president Valdas Sutkus, Lithuanian companies increasingly stand out for innovative services and solutions: “The services sector in Lithuania is gaining strength year by year, the quality of services is improving, and companies feel the need to invest in innovations and to develop products that would be competitive both in Lithuania and abroad”.

Says Laimonas Skibarka, office managing partner of SORAINEN Lithuania: “This award is a significant recognition for our law firm, because by launching sector groups we have taken a new step in the Baltic legal services market. Lawyers from law firms generally specialise in different areas of law practice, while clients increasingly expect lawyers to have knowledge of both business and of the economic sectors where they are doing their business. And we have responded to these client needs”.

According to Skibarka, although it has been less than a year since their launch, sector groups have already proven to be effective in improving the quality and value of legal services, enhanced the performance of the firm, and encouraged employee motivation. The creation of sector groups has also contributed to the rapid development and international recognition of SORAINEN Lithuania.

Participants in the Service of the Year 2014 competition that competed for the award included several dozen of the largest companies in Lithuania, such as TEO LT, IBM Lietuva, Penki kontinentai, Tele2, Ecoservice, and others. Postal self-service solution LP EXPRESS 24 of AB Lietuvos pastas was recognised as “Service of the Year”, and the “Most Intelligent Workplace” award went to UAB Kelprojektas with its Autodesk Vault process and work delegation project.
