OREANDA-NEWS. With the listing of Keppel DC REIT on the Singapore Exchange (SGX) Mainboard on 12 December, there are now 28 REITs and six stapled trusts listed on SGX. As noted in a recent Market Update – Singapore REITs & Stapled Trusts average 6.3% distribution yield, REITs listed on SGX have to distribute a minimum of 90% of taxable income to investors and Singapore REITs & stapled trusts have averaged 6.3% distribution yield.

Keppel DC REIT is a Singapore real estate investment trust established with the investment strategy of principally investing, directly or indirectly, in a diversified portfolio of income-producing real estate assets which are used primarily for data centre purposes as well as real estate-related assets, with an initial focus on Asia-Pacific and Europe. Its property portfolio includes two data centres in Singapore, two data centres in Australia, one data centre in Malaysia and three data centres in Europe. As of 23 December, Keppel DC REIT generated a price gain of 3.2%.

The table below details these 28 REITs. They generated an average 2014 year-to-date total return of 12.9% with a median total return of 11.5%. In the year thus far, they also generated an average price gain of 6.3% with a median of 5.1%.
