OREANDA-NEWS. Transstroymekhanisatsiya (TSM), a Mostotrest subsidiary, will launch Phase 2 reconstruction of the airport complex in Ufa in January 2015.

The project is commissioned by the Federal State Unitary Enterprise "Civil Airports (Airfields) Administration". Contract value: RUB3.16 billion. Scheduled completion: December 2016.

The project envisions large-scale reconstruction of the airport complex planar structures, including Runway 2, the apron, ground areas of the radio localizer and the rainwater drainage network. TSM will also replace lighting equipment, power supply networks, two transformer substations, the central distribution substation, runway control tower, diesel power plant, as well as build an access road to the nearer locator beacon, and communication networks.

Construction and installation work on the project will be carried out under the Civil Aviation Subprogram of the Federal Target Program "Development of the Transport System of Russia (2010 - 2015)".

In accordance with the contract terms, TSM is expected to complete Phase 1 reconstruction of the airport by the beginning of 2015. Upon completion of Phase 2, the airport will be able to receive wide body aircraft, which will significantly increase its throughput capacity. The project is being implemented in the run-up to the summit of the Shanghai Cooperation Organization, which will be held in Ufa in the middle of next year.

Today, TSM is a leader in the area of construction and reconstruction of planar airport infrastructure and has extensive experience in construction and installation work at the airports of Gelendzhik, Petropavlovsk-Kamchatsky, Vladivostok, Sochi, St. Petersburg and Moscow. The company is currently involved in upgrade projects at the airports of Sheremetyevo, Vnukovo and Saratov. The Ufa Administrative Airport Complex is located in the Kirov District of the City of Ufa and the Ufa Area of the Republic of Bashkortostan. Currently, the airport has international status.
