OREANDA-NEWS. According to AUTOSTAT, the number of vehicles in Moscow is close to 4.5 million units. This is more by 5% than the last year. For mid-2014 in the capital's traffic police it was registered more than 3.8 million passenger cars, 277,000 light commercial, almost 180,000 trucks and 18,000 buses. In addition, about 3 million vehicles were registered in the Moscow region (among which - 2.5 million passenger cars), more than a half of which are located in the Moscow suburbs. Thus, we can say that in the Moscow region there are already more than 7 million vehicles.

AUTOSTAT analysts say that despite the fact that the products of AvtoVAZ is not among the top 10 of popular brands among Muscovites for a long time, LADA still holds the first place in the number of vehicles in the parc. It has 16.4% of total registered passenger cars in capital (more than 600 thousand units). In second place Nissan - 5,7%, and on the third place - Toyota with the share of 5.2%. The top-10 of capital parc also includes Volkswagen (4,9%), Hyundai (4,8%), Ford (4,8%), Kia (4,3%), Mitsubishi (3,8%), Mercedes- Benz (3,4%) and Chevrolet (3,4%).
