OREANDA-NEWS. "KazTransOil" JSC informs about the completion of scheduled for 2014 work on selective replacement of 40 km of "Tuimazy - Omsk - Novosibirsk - II" oil pipeline's (TON-2) Kazakhstani section.

Overhaul of TON-2 is conducted to ensure the reliable transportation of 7 MM/year of crude oil by Kazakhstani section of TON-2 pipeline, including Russian oil designated for further transit transportation to China via the territory of the Republic of Kazakhstan using "Omsk - Priirtyshsk - Atasu - Alashankou" route in accordance with the Agreement between the Governments of the Republic of Kazakhstan and the Russian Federation on cooperation in the field of Russian crude oil transportation via the territory of the Republic of Kazakhstan to the Peoples Republic of China.

The first priority objects of overhaul were identified on the basis of previously conducted pigging. The overhaul on selected sections of the pipeline was conducted by "Akniet-BN" LLP in accordance with the schedule. The cost of the completed overhaul made KZT 5.3 billion.

"KazTransOil" JSC plans to replace the remaining 145.6 km of TON-2 Kazakhstani section in 2015.
