OREANDA-NEWS. GOLDCORP INC. (TSX: G, NYSE: GG) announced the promotion of Brent Bergeron to Executive Vice President, Corporate Affairs and Sustainability. In a related move, Jerry Danni has been promoted to Senior Vice President, Sustainability reporting to Bergeron. The Company also announced that Russell Ball, Executive Vice President, Capital Projects will oversee the Company's corporate development function. Both Mr. Bergeron and Mr. Ball will continue to report to Goldcorp President and Chief Executive Officer Chuck Jeannes.

Since joining Goldcorp in 2010, Mr. Bergeron has successfully established and cultivated key relationships with government and community leaders in Goldcorp's operating jurisdictions. In this capacity, he has also overseen important changes to the Company's approach to government relations, corporate social responsibility as well as to stakeholder engagement and communications. As Senior Vice President, Sustainability, Mr. Danni will continue to build Goldcorp's core commitment to environmental stewardship and ensure accountability and transparency everywhere that Goldcorp operates. He joined Goldcorp in January, 2013 following senior executive roles at Golden Minerals Company and Kinross Gold Corporation.

Russell Ball has overseen the successful start-up of the Company's three primary growth projects since joining Goldcorp in May 2013. With those projects transitioning to the operating group, he will now take on an expanded role.
