OREANDA-NEWS. About half of the respondents, who have bought new cars in the 2009-2014 year, did it for cash. The survey also showed that bank car loans were used by more than 30% of the respondents, 12% of them made a purchase by using consumer credit. The rest 7.4% of the surveyed prefer to use a credit program from the automaker. It should be noted that the selection, on base of which was made the analysis, included motorists of the most popular in the ranking of sales of cars (31 brands).

The study also showed that in the premium segment the share of people, who buy for cash exceeds 60% - due to the higher purchasing power of consumers. But among the mass brand buyers of foreign cars and domestic cars, there are only a half of them. Noteworthy is the fact that two-thirds of Chinese car owners bought them for borrowed funds. And among all groups the "Chinese" have as the highest percentage of car loans (46.5%), so consumer credit (20.2%). These and other results, obtained in the course of the study, data compilation and analysis of the study are presented in a new report of the company "AUTOSTAT" - "Preferences of Russian buyers in the automotive market." Consumer survey was conducted by agency "AUTOSTAT" from November 13th to 23rd 2014 in partnership with Online Market Intelligence (OMI).
