OREANDA-NEWS. Delta Air Lines (NYSE: DAL) will once again be offering nonstop daily flights between Reykjavik’s Keflavik International Airport and New York John F. Kennedy International Airport for the 2015 summer season.

Starting May 2, the U.S. airline has scheduled a Boeing 757 aircraft on the route, which is operated in conjunction with Delta’s joint venture partners Air France and KLM.

“Figures from the Icelandic Tourism Board show that there was an almost 30 percent rise in the number of U.S. visitors to Iceland in 2014 compared to the previous year,” said Perry Cantarutti, Delta’s senior vice president for Europe, Middle East and Africa. “Delta is proud to help facilitate this growth while also allowing increased choice for Icelanders travelling to the U.S., with improved facilities at New York-JFK and over 60 convenient onward connections to destinations throughout the U.S., Latin America and the Caribbean.”
