The leader of the Russian car industry, AVTOVAZ, produced 575.1 thousand vehicles and assembly kits last year, among which 386.8 thousand cars Lada (-12%) and 133.9 thousand cars for the alliance Renault-Nissan (growth of 6.4 times ). In addition, the Izhevsk plant produced 74.3 thousand cars (+ 28%), including 68.9 thousand Lada Granta and 5.4 thousand sedans Nissan Sentra. Meanwhile, the continued decline in demand for cars in Russia, many foreign automakers have practiced the conveyor downtime and reducing shifts.

Leader in production of cars in our country at the end of 2014 for the first time became the St. Petersburg plant Hyundai, which produced 237,000 vehicles (+ 4%), among which 132.3 thousand - Hyundai Solaris cars and 104.7 thousand - KIA Rio. At the facilities of Renault in Russia it was assembled 213.7 thousand cars.
