OREANDA-NEWS. The IMS implementation at JSC PIMCU was facilitated by experts from NEE Ural Interregional Certification Center. During the course of the implementation process, 190 staff members of the Industrial Union completed field-specific training, 186 employees out of them obtained certificates on various aspects of the systems, including 25 internal auditor’s certificates. In 2014, thirteen internal audits for the compliance with the requirements of ISO 9001 and ISO 14001 were conducted across all structural subdivisions of JSC PIMCU.

Final audit was carried out by experts from JSC Bureau Veritas Certification Rus. The certifying body drew up a conclusion proving that the quality management system and the environmental management system at JSC PIMCU comply with the requirements of ISO 9001:2008 and ISO 14001:2004. The company received a certificate of conformity in the area of uranium ore mining and chemical processing, as well as supply of end-products to customers.

“It is particularly important that the Integrated Management System was introduced concurrently with the implementation of the program for reaching break-even operation level. Standards of the Integrated Management System helped us develop efficient managerial tools designed to reduce contingent expenses, enhance labour productivity and optimize internal business processes. Also, we meet the requirements concerning environment, safety and quality level improvement,” noted Sergey Shurygin, Director General of JSC PIMCU.
