OREANDA-NEWS. The Vale Eco Centre in Teluk Batik, Malaysia, was inaugurated on the 24th. The space is part of the forest preservation area of Teluk Rubiah, one of the main environmental conservations areas in the region.

The Eco Centre aims to be an educational platform for the local community to gain more experience with biodiversity. 150 students and teachers from local schools and members of the community were invited to the launch.

Apart from the educational project about nature, the Centre has much potential to develop a social role regarding the local community and tourists that visit the region since it will offer recreational activities to promote the knowledge, understanding and pleasure of conservation and the appreciation of the natural environment.
