OREANDA-NEWS. Three reactors were erected in a normal operation mode at the construction site of the naphtha hydrotreating unit of TANECO Oil Refining and Petrochemical Plants Complex.

The reactors of naphtha hydrotreating (weight - 206 tons, diameter - 3 meters), diolefin enrichment (weight - 51.3 tons, height - 11.8 m, diameter - 2.9 meters) and final purification (weight - 37.7 tons, height - 9.9 meters and diameter - 2.9 meters) were manufactured by the Walter Tosto Italian Company at the production site in Romania. The RTL Ltd. logistics company performed the cargo delivery: firstly, the reactors crossed the Black Sea and arrived at the port of Novorossiysk and then they were transported to Nizhnekamsk by railway.

Delivery of the naphtha hydrotreating reactor from the train to the construction site was made by OOO OKB "Spetstyazhproekt" at nighttime to avoid overloading the highway. Also transportation of the more than 34 meters high cargo required disconnection of the high-voltage power line. The reactor fixed up on a self-propelled modular low roader was moving with an average speed of 10 kilometers and it took the cargo three and a half hours to get to the Complex's gate. The other two reactors were delivered by tractor-trailer vehicles of "Tatneft-TransServis".

It took "Tatneftehimmontazh", Nizhnekamsk Company, which is a general contractor of JSC TATNEFT's URPS (Construction Projects Implementation Department), and OOO "SOPiG" two days to perform the equipment erection. Three "Liebherr" cranes: one of 600 tons weight lifting capacity and two cranes of 100 tons each were used to erect the vessels.

The next stage of the naphtha hydrotreating unit construction will be related to installation of metal structures, maintenance platforms and interconnecting piping of the reactors.

The naphtha hydrotreating unit throughput will be 1.1 million tons per year.
