OREANDA-NEWS. ABH "Miratorg", leading operator at the Russian meat market, announced that according to information of the National pig producers union the Holding's share in industrial production of pork in the country amounted to 12,7% in 2014.

"Miratorg" increased pork production by 4% up to 370 thousand tons in live weight in comparison with 356 thousand tons in 2013. The growth is ensured by reaching of production capacity of pig farms in Kursk region and efficiency increase of all division groups.

Following the results of 2014, pork production by the agricultural organizations and peasant farm enterprises in Russia amounted to 3 million 917 thousand tons in live weight where 59,5% or 1 million 737 thousand tons came to 20 largest companies, according to the National pig producers union.

"Miratorg" Strategy" providing major investments into industrial pig production proved its value in full. Having invested more than 55 billion rubles, we built the largest vertically integrated production in Russia, and since 2008 we have supplied the market with over 1 million tons of high-quality pork meat. Now we focused our efforts on the improvement of key performance indicators, costs savings, product range extension and production cost control" - the President of ABH "Miratorg", Victor Linnik said.
