OREANDA-NEWS. The Bugulma Mechanical Plant (BMZ) of JSC TATNEFT started outputting new products.

The professionals of the plant manufactured a dual heat exchanger of 1,400 mm diameter with brass heat-exchange tubes and bimetallic tube sheets for OOO ATOMMASH. The weight of the vessel is more than 60 tons.

The BMZ produces both standard heat exchangers according to the specifications with the changes introduced on the basis of questionnaires and non-standard modernized ones according to specific technical projects. Depending on the type of construction materials these vessels are capable to withstand temperatures from minus 70 to plus 6000C; rated pressure - from 0.6 to 16 MPa. The sheath diameter ranges from 57 to 3000 mm; the heat exchange surface varies from 0.11 to 8550 square meters.

The Bugulma Mechanical Plant manufactured a steam generator for JSC TANECO weighing more than 30 tons with an off-centered tapered transition from 1000 mm diameter to 600mm. The generator will be part of the delayed coking installation of carboniferous and Devonian oil tars with the feed rated capacity of 2 million tons per year. The unit is designed for processing heavy oil residues to obtain an additional amount of light oil products and petroleum coke. The vessel generates medium-pressure steam through application of circulating heavy gas oil. The process is based on application of the recuperation principle, which is partial return of energy for reuse in the same process. Thus, no extra energy is spent to obtain medium pressure steam, which is generated at the expense of the heavy gas oil energy.

The vessel meets all the requirements of the process and is equipped with modern means of automation and process control. Compared to standard designs, it significantly reduces the power consumption and maintenance costs.

To improve the equipment reliability they used an 8-way bundle with U-shaped tubes instead of the   floating head bundle envisaged in the basic design. The presence of U-shaped static cast return bends allowed improving the original safety factor above the pre-design questionnaire value, which required the steam generator to be designed for 125 percent of the heat load.

It was also for the first time that they manufactured four flare units at BMZ for NGDU "Aznakaevskneft". Fabrication of the flare systems’ components was started at the BMZ within the technical upgrading program of NGDU "Aznakaevskneft" production facilities after development of a technical project and coordination of all the technical requirements.

The flare unit is designed to provide for utilization of inflammable gas through full smokeless burning of it in emergency situations, in cases of regular and periodic discharges at the facilities of the in-field oil, water and gas treatment at the oil, gas and condensate fields of the chemical, petrochemical and oil refining industries in the conditions of macro-climatic regions with ambient temperatures from minus 60 to plus 400C.
