Major Plans to Expand Global Presence to be initiated by Batelco
OREANDA-NEWS. Batelco, the Kingdom of Bahrain’s leading communications solutions
provider is expanding its global network presence, in line with the world-wide connectivity
boom and to accommodate the needs of the ultra-fast paced business world. The expansion will
not only cover more geographic locations, but will also enrich Batelco’s network performance,
resiliency and reliability.
Currently, Batelco is viewed as a leader in providing global data solutions. It has an established presence in all major areas including the Middle East, Europe, the US, Asia, and Africa. Batelco’s 23 active Point-of-Presence (PoPs), and the company’s strategic partnerships and Joint Ventures (JVs) have enabled them to secure a multitude of projects connecting multi-national organisations in disparate locations across the globe.
Instrumental to this demand, Batelco’s portfolio of global services ensures diversity and resilience through the use of numerous submarine and terrestrial cable systems; this includes International Private Leased Line (IPLC), MPLS and Ethernet services.
Batelco Enterprise Division General Manager Adel Daylami stated that because of Batelco’s impressive portfolio, the Company won a number of major deals in 2014.
“These primarily involved helping multinational organisations with their regional and global requirements. Our global connectivity expansion plans will help us serve enterprise customers and global carriers even better, and so we are anticipating even higher demand,” said Mr. Daylami.
“The network expansion plans allow for a more futuristic vision of the Kingdom and the Gulf Region, geared to address the changing demands of the market. As technology advances, the needs of the market increase. In response to these needs, Batelco has strategically incorporated a range of value-added services such as an online monitoring and reporting portal and a competitive SLA (Service Level Agreement) offering,” added Mr. Daylami.
“We plan to increase such offerings following our expansions and upgrades,” Mr. Daylami concluded.
