Rostec Corporation will take part in the International Exhibition Aero India - 2015

OREANDA-NEWS. The Aero India exhibition attracts participants from around the world and provides an excellent opportunity to establish joint research programs. Russian-Indian military and technical cooperation spans more than four decades and has the characteristics of a strategic partnership.

Currently, Russia and India are working on new advanced projects in the aviation sector, which includes, first and foremost, a program to create a FGFA fighter and the MTA transport aircraft.

Asian partners have expressed particular interest in S-112 aviation communication systems, developed by UIMC. These systems provide a new level of efficiency for data transmission. In addition, the company will introduce in India the ground-based NKVS-27 system for multi-voice communication and information exchange between command posts and tactical aircraft.

Another on-board system developed by Polyot RPC is the S-404, featuring an integrated antenna system, which is earmarked for the Ka-62 and other types of civil aircraft. In comparison with similar systems, it has superior communication quality and range. The system implements all international requirements for radio communication equipment, including the reception of selective call signals. Its military modification includes anti-jamming functions and encryption of data and voice information on both the hardware and software level.

Another UIMC product that will be shown at the exhibition is the AT-E aviation terminal for information exchange. It solves problems related to communication, navigation, identification, and management across the various branches of the armed forces, particularly aviation. The terminal utilizes information exchange network technology and its characteristics correspond with similar terminals, such as JTIDS/MIDS, which are used by the armies of the United States and NATO.

India is one of the key markets for domestic Russian helicopters and is the largest operator of Russian helicopters in the region. In particular, through Rosoboronexport contracts, the holding supplies the Mi-17V-5 modern military transport helicopters to India. The major contract for their supply was signed in 2008.

At the Aero India – 2015 exhibition, Russian Helicopters will present its new Mi-8/17 military transport helicopters series, as well as the light, multipurpose Ka-226T helicopter, which has been offered to both civilian and law enforcement agencies to India.

Due to the growing market for commercial helicopters in the region, the holding company is presenting Mi-8/16 civilian multipurpose helicopters, which are popular around the world, as well as the lightweight Ansat helicopter, at Aero India - 2015.

During Aero India – 2015, Russian Helicopters will present the Mi-171A2 helicopter as part of its lineup. The first prototype of this helicopter began flight tests in November 2014. In addition to a demonstration of the helicopters, representatives of Russian Helicopters holding company will conduct talks and consultations on the development of support and service networks for Russian-made helicopters in the region.

The Russian-Indian joint venture BrahMos Aerospace has also confirmed its participation in Aero India - 2015. At the exhibition, the company will present full-size mock-ups of its supersonic cruise missile Brahmos, which will be tested for the first time in March onboard Su-30MKI fighters, in addition to small-sized copy of the future hypersonic missile Brahmos-2.
