OREANDA-NEWS.  Juan Forcada Arregui has been appointed Director of Alstom Transport site in Savigliano. The plant is Alstom’s worldwide centre of excellence for Pendolino high speed trains and produces regional trains of the Coradia range for Italy. Today, the site employs around 1,200 people.

Among current projects, J. Forcada Arregui will be responsible for the delivery of Coradia Meridian regional trains (Jazz) to Trenitalia, the Italian railway operator, and for the production of 4 New Pendolino trains for SBB, the Swiss railway operator. J. Forcada Arregui will report to Pierre-Louis Bertina, Managing Director of Alstom Transport for Italy & Switzerland.

Previously, J. Forcada Arregui was Director of Alstom’s site in Santa Perpetua near Barcelona (Spain), which produces trams, metros, regional and high-speed trains. 

Aged 55, J. Forcada Arregui is Spanish. He started his career in Spain in the automotive sector and holds an engineering degree in metallurgy. J. Forcada Arregui joined Alstom in 2007.
