OREANDA-NEWS. Shvabe Holding acquired a Eurasian patent for its catadioptric telescope.

"The product has been constructed according to the original design of the Novosibirsk optician Yury Klevtsov. The telescopes created according to his system are perfect tools for a prepared amateur astronomer. They make it possible to observe celestial objects with a stellar magnitude from 12.8 to 14 with high diffraction quality and resolution, as well as to take unique photographs and to work with CCD-matrices. "Today, Shvabe's product list includes telescopes with lens diameters of 150, 200, and 250 mm," reported Shvabe Deputy CEO of R&D and Innovative Development Nikolay Rakovich.

The Eurasian patent is issued for inventions that are new, have a degree of inventiveness, and have industrial applications. This document provides reliable intellectual property protection to the patent holder in the territory of 8 countries that signed the Eurasian Patent Convention: Azerbaijan, Armenia, Belarus, Kazakhstan, Kyrgyzstan, Russia, Tajikistan, and Turkmenistan. The Shvabe Holding catadioptric telescope will be protected by the Eurasian patent for a period of 20 years.
