OREANDA-NEWS. CLT passenger traffic in January 2015 decreased 3 percent compared to January 2014 numbers due to reduced capacity by the airlines and severe winter weather that hit the Northeast. During the first month of this year, 3,403,723 million travelers visited the Airport. Last year at that time, 3,504,652 million passengers had flown through Charlotte Douglas.

International passenger traffic at the Airport also saw a slight dip of 3 percent, declining from 203,627 passengers flying abroad in January 2014 to 198,236 in January 2015.

Cargo activity, however, experienced a 1 percent increase, rising from 10,634 tons in January 2014 to 10,727 tons this January.   

Operations held steady with a 0.4 percent slight bump, overseeing 44,769 landings and departures in January 2015 compared to 44,583 aircraft movements last January.
