OREANDA-NEWS. Sberbank CIB1 is launching its 2015 summer internship programme Head Start@Sberbank CIB, which is the company's 15th annual internship. The selection stages will begin on April 13 and the internship will take place from July 1 to August 31.

Graduates and final year students from leading universities who have a good knowledge of the English language and want to start a career in the financial industry are invited to take part in the programme. To participate you should fill in an application form on the Career section of Sberbank CIB's website before April 10. The site also provides detailed information about the selection stages.

The programme's selection stages include a number of tests, including an English proficiency test and a business game. Students who pass these tests will be enrolled to the Summer Class - lectures and master classes held by Sberbank CIB specialists and invited experts. This evaluation and training system will let candidates test their knowledge, broaden their expertise and decide on the division where they would like to take the internship.

Traditionally the internship programme focuses on a relevant non-financial topic; this year it will be ecology. There is a good reason for this choice - environmental issues are among the key problems of the 21st century and must be addressed by socially responsible companies and each individual.

"Head Start@Sberbank CIB is a unique programme that provides an excellent career start for ambitious beginning specialists at one of Russia's largest financial companies," commented Maria Merkulova, Head of Review, Learning & Development in Sberbank CIB's Human Resources Division. "In as soon as 10 years' time 60% of the labour market will be made up of Millennials, and due to many factors the demand for talented personnel will continue to grow. The majority of individuals from Generation Y want to work for companies that set industry trends and even change the world. Sberbank CIB is that sort of company, a place where the ambition, knowledge and responsiveness possessed by today's graduates are needed by a challenging, but very interesting business. We see enormous potential in hiring young people who can quickly adapt to the changing business environment, and are ready to invest in their development and careers."

Interns will be able to try their hands in the company's business units (Global Markets Department, Sberbank Merchant Banking (Merchant Banking Department), Client Management Department, Loans Department, Trade Finance and Correspondence Relations Division) and also support units (Administrative Division, Compliance & Internal Control Division, Human Resources Division, Legal Division, Public Relations, Risk Management Division, Security Department).
