As the leading expert on Public Relations Ekaterina Hatkovskaya informed the agency "Interfax", the joint venture plant is operating normally, and there are no plans for the closure of production lines. "At the moment, we are not talking the severance of relations with partners from South Korea”, - she said.

Earlier, "Sollers", which is the exclusive distributor of SsangYong, informed "Interfax" that the South Korean automaker has suspended the exports of cars in Russia in response to falling demand for cars. "This is a temporary decision, taken to stabilize the demand in the Russian market. New supplies are not implemented for a while. We are monitoring the situation together with our partners from SsangYong. Deliveries are suspended to avoid unnecessary waste and not destabilize the financial situation with the distributorship", - explained in the company.

SsangYong production in the Far East continues to operate normally with those car kits that are available in stock. "In addition, there is a full load by the brand Mazda”, - said the representative of "Sollers". According to him, the company does not expect the impact of the suspension of deliveries to the operation of the enterprise.

According to the Association of European Businesses, sales of SsangYong vehicles in February fell by 72% to 561 units, in January-February - by 61% to 1,294 vehicles.

"Mazda Sollers Manufacturing RUS" produces Mazda cars (Mazda CX-5 and Mazda 6) and SsangYong (Rexton, Kyron, Actyon and Actyon Sports). Capacity of enterprise is 60,000 cars per year. Full design capacity is 100 thousand cars. Earlier it was reported that the production site of "Sollers" in Vladivostok in 2014 assembled 68,000 vehicles, which corresponds to the indices of 2013. The production site consists of two companies - "Mazda Sollers Manufacturing RUS" and "Sollers-Bussan" (the joint venture "Sollers" and the Japanese Mitsui).
