OREANDA-NEWS. Aozora Bank, Ltd., The Daishi Bank, Ltd., The Taiko Bank, Ltd. and The Hokuetsu Bank, Ltd. today announced the co-financing of the Niigata Shimami Solar Park project, aimed at the construction of a large-scale photovoltaic power station utilizing prefectural land in Niigata.

This photovoltaic power station will have a capacity of 14.2 megawatts (equivalent to the yearly consumption of an estimated 4,400 households). Total cost Approx. 5 billion yen.

The Project, one of the largest private sector projects in Niigata Prefecture, will be managed by Niigata Shimami Solar Park (selected by Niigata Prefecture through an open recruitment process in September 2013), a limited liability company jointly funded by Japan Renewable Energy Co., Ltd. and Kitac Corporation. Construction is currently underway towards commencing operations in December 2015.
