OREANDA-NEWS. Tokyo Gas Co., Ltd. will establish a new "Consignment Information Center" and "Consignment Inquiry Center" on April 1, 2015 in order to achieve its goal of "improving the fairness and convenience of pipe usage", which was announced in the Gas Systems Reform Subcommittee as an autonomous initiative.

From now, both of these new centers will be jointly responsible for tasks which were handled by our Consignment Department, regarding liberalized large volume gas supply and wholesale supply. This will be handled requests for disclosure of information that is necessary to review gas supply by consignment and inquiries regarding consignment supply review in a uniform manner inside and outside the company.

In practical terms the "Consignment Information Center" will provide information on supply pipes, meters and gas volumes and all other necessary information for reviewing the practicality of consignment gas supply to both new entrants to the retail gas supply market and to Tokyo Gas' own internal retail segments. This information will be provided both in document form.

The "Consignment Inquiry Center" will respond to inquiries regarding the state of progress of gas supply review for properties and individual inquiry and response for gas supply review to new entrants to the retail gas supply market and Tokyo Gas' own retail segments. The "Consignment Inquiry Center" will also publish information on the Tokyo Gas website about the average number of days required for gas supply review.

Going forward, Tokyo Gas will continue to exchange in consultation with all new entrants and work hard to increase the neutrality, fairness and transparency of the pipeline division and the convenience of the consignment and to maintain safety and stable gas supply.
