OREANDA-NEWS. Scientists of Shvabe Holding, which is a part of Rostec State Corporation, invented an improved and less time-consuming method to control the integrity of gas lasers.

The objective of the developed method is to reduce many times over the time required to control the integrity of gas lasers disconnected from an exhaust cart monoblock in cases when soft soldering is used for fastening construction elements. The reduction of time occurs through the decrease of the number of conducted operations and the time of exposure in the applied technology and depends on the gas used for the joint being controlled. The method helps to evaluate the integrity of tracer gas, its concentration, the choice of analytic couples of spectral lines of tracer gas and operating gas, as well as other important characteristics and parameters of the controlled enclosed volume.

This invention falls under the field of laser equipment, it has been created, patented and is used in the production of gas lasers by Shvabe Holding enterprise M. F. Stelmakh Polus Research Institute OJSC .

"There are various known methods to control the integrity of products. The advantages of our method in comparison with the technologies used nowadays consist not only in the speed of measurements, but also in the increased accuracy. Moreover, previous control methods are applicable only before the disconnection of a product from an exhaust cart, though its decompression may occur afterwards. The accuracy we achieve due to the invention of our specialists is necessary to release our finished products," said the CEO of the enterprise Sergey Kopylov.

This method can by applied to monitor any gas-filled devices in various fields: from medicine to marine and aviation navigation, therefore the development will be in demand. Now we are preparing technological documentation for our potential customers.
