OREANDA-NEWS. Shvabe Holding will be one of the organizers of the clinical seminar "Intensive therapy in neonatology", which will take place in Yaroslavl on March 21-29, 2015.

This is the third seminar for neonatologists organized with the support of Shvabe Holding together with SBEI HVE Yaroslavl State Medical Academy, the Ministry of Healthcare of the Russian Federation, Federal State Budgetary Institution "Scientific Center of Obstetrics, Gynecology, and Perinatology named after the member of the Academy of Sciences V.I. Kulakov" of the Ministry of Healthcare of the Russian Federation, the Interregional public organization of neonatology development assistance "Association of Neonatologists" and the International Association of Developers, Manufacturers, and Consumers of Medical Appliances.

Practicing neonatologists, anesthesiologists, intensivists, resident physicians, pediatricians, interns from Russian medical obstetric institutions, as well as teachers of medical higher educational establishments will take part in the seminar.

"In the course of practical training to be held on March 27 and 28 the specialists of Shvabe-Moscow LLC will present a line of the Holding's medical products that are designed to save lives of babies and will give masterclasses on the operation of the following equipment: an artificial lung ventilation apparatus with a humidifier, which is intended to replace and support the respiration function of newborns and small children; an artificial lung ventilation apparatus for labour halls and resuscitation departments, which reduces the likelihood of development of chronic pulmonary diseases in premature newborns; a neonatal heater, which reliably protects a child from sudden drops in temperature or hyperthermia; a phototherapeutic neonatal irradiator, which effectively and rapidly reduces the level of bilirubin in newborns with jaundice," noted the director of Shvabe-Moscow LLC Ivan Ozhgikhin.

Shvabe is the only manufacturer of all types of neonatal equipment in Russia and commands approximately 50% of the Russian market for such devices. This equipment has helped clinics to nurse more than 3 million babies. The Holding supplies perinatal centres with neonatal, ophthalmology, resuscitation and other equipment.
