OREANDA-NEWS. Igor Lotakov has been elected as PwC Russia’s new Managing Partner. He will take over from David Gray, who has held this position over the last four years.

David Gray will continue to work at PwC Russia as Chairman and Chief Advisor to the Managing Partner.

Igor will take on the leadership of over 2,500 employees working in 10 offices throughout Russia.

Commenting on his election, Igor Lotakov said: “PwC Russia is a strong team of professionals who are leaders in the provision of audit and consulting services. We are proud of all that we have achieved in the past 25 years and I am pleased to have been honoured with the task of leading our team on to new achievements. Russia is one of the world's key markets and our strategy for developing our business here is focused on the long term.”

With 20 years of experience in providing audit and advisory services for clients, Igor Lotakov has worked primarily with oil and gas and petrochemical sector companies.

Igor Lotakov joined PwC in 1995 in Moscow as an audit consultant in the Energy & Utilities practice. In 2006, he became a partner. In 2009, he was appointed Energy, Utilities and Mining Assurance Leader. In July 2011, Igor Lotakov took on the leadership of PwC’s Assurance Practice in Russia. Since 1 July 2014, he has also led our Assurance Practice in Central and Eastern Europe.

Igor Lotakov is a member of the Association of Certified Chartered Accountants (ACCA, UK, 1999) and a Certified Financial Analyst (CFA, 2003) with the US-based CFA Institute (the former Association for Investment Management and Research).
