OREANDA-NEWS. In the historical building at 1 Vingrotaju Street, the opening ceremony of two new clinics "Rigaer Turn-Verein" and "MAMA Riga" took place. "Rigaer Turn-Verein" will deliver therapeutic services, taking care of patients' physical and psychological wellbeing and providing beauty treatments and "MAMA Riga" is nowadays the biggest reproductive health center in the Baltics with day hospital.

"MAMA Riga" will provide medical services delivered by highly professional and experienced doctors, specializing on female and male infertility. In "Rigaer Turn-Verein", patients will be offered medical beauty treatments and therapists' services. At the moment, the medical stuff of the clinics consists of 25 people.

The total area of clinics comprising five floors equals 2500 m2. There are 12 consulting examination rooms where gynecologist, dermatologists, physiotherapists see patients. There are two operating theaters, day hospital and two large laboratories. Clinics' capacity ensures to deliver services to 200 patients a day.

In the past, the building, at 1 Vingrotaju Street, was named "Rigaer Turn-Verein" and hosted the Association of Riga's gymnasts. It was designed by an architect Reingold Schmeling in 1885. Besides this, exactly in this building the first play by the Latvian National Theatre was staged. The building is a historical monument; therefore, the clinic management paid extra attention to restoration works, trying to combine the spirit of the times with advantages of modern European clinic.

The total amount of investments equalled to EUR 3.5 million, out of this amount EUR 3 million was spent on restoration works, and EUR 500 000 was spent on the purchase of medical equipment. Since the beginning of restoration works until the opening ceremony two years have passed, as a result a large-scale medical institution in Riga has been established meeting high European medical standards. These two clinics create 45 jobs.

This business is virtuous with a characteristic socially important function: to make people healthier, and family - happier. Therefore, we are glad to finance this kind of business," told Antons Marcenko ABLV Bank Head of Project Financing Department at the press conference.

The management of "Rigaer Turn-Verein" and "MAMA Riga" expressed their gratitude for contribution in clinics' establishment to ABLV Bank, architect agency "Dianas Zalanes projektu birojs", construction company Orions, Arbor Medical Corporation, engineering bureau K Forma and NMS Elpa.
