According to the agency “Auto-Dealer-Yekaterinburg", in January-February of 2015 there were sold 6620 new cars and light commercial vehicles in Yekaterinburg, which is less by 46% than the same period of the last year. In February, the market declined by 47% - it was sold 3532 cars in the city. This is the largest decline in the car market in Yekaterinburg on the basis of one month.

The market leader as a result of two months is still Hyundai, but in February it was approached by Nissan, which has become the most popular brand in the month. Lada continues to occupy the third position. The brands of the Top 10 for the first time showed a negative trend as by the results of the reporting month, so for the full year.

Increase in sales after two starting months is shown only by four brands – they are Lexus, Porsche, Mercedes-Benz Vans and Isuzu. Leaders by the fall were Opel and Peugeot, declined in January and February car sales by 96%. Third place of anti-range was occupied by Citroen, whose sales fell by 94%.

"Now the leaders of the car market of Yekaterinburg are brands, bulking models of which have a share of localization about 50%”, - supposes the director of “Auto-Dealer-Yekaterinburg", Michael Chaplygin. – “Also in March, compared with the beginning of the year sales of GM cars can grow - the announcement of the cessation of activities in Russia spurred the demand in the salons of the city for Opel and Chevrolet”.

The share of Yekaterinburg in total car sales in Russia for two months remained unchanged at the level of 2.7%.
