OREANDA-NEWS. AvtoVAZ, GAZ and KAMAZ are negotiating about the assembly organizing of Russian cars in Iran. The agency "Tass" was informed by the press service of the Ministry of Economic Development, by noting that specific agreements have not been achieved yet.

By commenting on the talks about the organization of assembly production of Russian cars in Iran against the backdrop of the expected lifting of sanctions against the Islamic Republic, the Ministry of Economic Development noticed that "in the case of the lifting of sanctions, Russian companies will face serious competition in the European and American automakers, who have already had the experience of assembly production of some of their models in the Iran territory”.

The theme of assembly production of Russian cars was discussed during the visit of Minister of Economic Development of Russia, Alexei Ulyukayev, in Tehran in November of 2014.

Russian automakers with account of the crisis in the Russian market at the beginning of the year reported that they intend to compensate the losses from sales decrease in the domestic market through the exports. Automakers have planned the doubling of deliveries abroad, and they focused on their traditional markets in the CIS, as well as developing countries in Asia, Africa and Latin America.

AvtoVAZ exports cars mainly to Kazakhstan, Azerbaijan and Ukraine, small amounts are sent to Europe, the Middle East and Latin America. The company did not rule out the launch of SKD assembly of cars Lada Granta in Egypt, and in 2016 it plans to start the production in Kazakhstan.

"GAZ Group" intends to increase the share of exports to CIS countries up to 30% within 5 years (the company now exports about 17% of the cars).

KAMAZ laid in the strategy up to 2020 the share increase of exports in the sales structure up to 20-30% compared with 18% in 2014.
