OREANDA-NEWS. April 10, 2015. The EU28 seasonally adjusted external current account recorded a surplus of €38.7 billion (1.1% of GDP) in the fourth quarter of 2014, up from a surplus of €29.9 bn (0.9% of GDP) in the third quarter of 2014 and down from a surplus of €43.0 bn (1.3% of GDP) in the fourth quarter of 2013, according to a second estimate released by Eurostat, the statistical office of the European Union.
