OREANDA-NEWS. UTair – Helicopter Services, part of UTair Group, and a branch of BGP Inc., China National Petroleum Corporation has entered the active phase of exploration works in Tajikistan as part of a cooperation agreement valid until the end of 2017.

During the joint implementation of this project UTair – Helicopter Services light multipurpose Airbus Helicopters AS 350 and AS 355 will be used for at least 800 hours of aerial operations. An AS 350 helicopter will be used to perform airlift of special equipment and portable drilling units to Bokhtarsky, Tajikistan’s largest oilfield. Regular transportation of work crews and food to the site will be performed with an AS 355 helicopter which can also be used for evacuation of personnel in case of emergency. To maintain continuous helicopter operations in a mountainous terrain, UTair – Helicopter Services will secure the uninterrupted availability of two aircrews and two technical experts.
