OREANDA-NEWS. Quality of cars of AvtoVAZ in 2014 increased by 50%, the leader by the rate of improvement was the Lada Priora, the number of claims in respect of which decreased 2.3 times.

If in 2013 there were 150 requests for guarantees per 1,000 Lada Priora cars for the first three months of vehicle ownership, by the end of 2014 their number was reduced to 65 requests, informed the press service of AvtoVAZ. The analysis of complaints for the first three months of operation - is the world practice, which allows us to estimate the stability of quality in manufacturing, construction and modernization of the effectiveness level of customer satisfaction.

"Improving the quality of Lada Priora – is the natural result of extensive work carried out in recent years”, - said the director of the Center for Customer Satisfaction of AvtoVAZ, Andrei Soldatov. – “Our engineers have implemented dozens of improvements, for example, customers are very appreciated the increased resource of synchromesh at gearbox. It was increased reliability of electrical equipment: LCD of instrument cluster, generator, power windows, and audio system speakers. In addition, the reconstruction of assembly line and stabilization of production technology played its role: today the assembly line of Lada Priora operates without downtime, at a uniform rate, without staff turnover. All this had a positive impact on the quality”. 

The complex of works to improve the quality of Lada was initiated by AvtoVAZ president Bo Andersson since his appointment. It was held audit and modernization of technology in the plant and suppliers. It was appeared Center Customer Satisfaction at AVTOVAZ: plant specialists interact daily with customers, initiating simultaneously the quality improvement of cars.

AvtoVAZ is updating constantly the design of Lada Priora, by following the growing demands of customers. In 2013 it was held facelift interior of the car, with the complex improved acoustic comfort. In May of 2014 Lada Priora received manual transmission with a completely overhauled switching mechanism and the more modern cable-operated instead of traction. And in October of the last year for the first time in its practice AvtoVAZ equipped the car with automated mechanical transmission (AMT). Lada Priora with AMT can move as in the "automatic" regime, so with manual transmission. In 2015, AvtoVAZ will continue to improve the acoustic comfort of the car.

In the I quarter of 2015 sales of Lada Priora in the Russian market were 7,469 vehicles – it is less by 42.4% than a year earlier. Price of flagship model of AvtoVAZ is from 446,300 rubles (for the sedan version).
