OREANDA-NEWS. The company Renault expects the Russian market fall below the expected one at the beginning of the year (exact figures are not named). In mid-January the Sales Director of Renault, Jerome Stol, predicted that the Russian car market in 2015 will be reduced by 20-25%. In March, the company's CEO Carlos Ghosn said the Russian car market may decrease this year by 20-30%, wrote the newspaper "Vedomosti".

In the I quarter 2015 sales of the Renault group in Russia fell by 40.7% (the whole market by 36.3%). The company holds a "pricing policy for the protection of profitability, which led to a halt in production for a few weeks", noted in Renault. In 2014, Renault sales in Russia fell by 7% to 194,531 cars (the whole market decreased by 10.3%).
