OREANDA-NEWS. Shvabe Holding has developed a new microblock for a third generation electronic and optical converter to be used in the manufacture of night vision sights.

In the new device developed by Shvabe - Instruments, a Shvabe Holding enterprise, modern circuit engineering solutions have been used to ensure higher reliability and fail-safe operation.

"In Shvabe's new microblock there are additional outputs for external voltage control. It enables the user of a night vision sight to manually set a more comfortable light setting on the screen of the electronic and optical converter for observation in different lighting conditions", explained Nickolai Rakovich, Shvabe's deputy general director for R&D and innovative development.

At present the new microblock manufactured by Shvabe - Instruments is used in low-sized night sights which can view objects with 3x and 5x magnification. These new devices are designed for area observation and for sight shooting with hunting weapons in natural night light from distances of 3х10-3 (on a moonless night) up to 1.5km (in twilight).
