OREANDA-NEWS. UniCredit demonstrated that group sustained the Ukrainian bank. It was stated by Carlo Vivaldi, Head of CEE Division of UniCredit, on the Annual EBRD Meeting held in Tbilisi.

"We know Ukraine has a negative growth because of the geopolitical situation. But we demonstrated that we sustained the bank because USD 250 mln of capital increase is already on the book of the bank. We’re already approved additional USD 250 mln which is going to be executed between now and 3Q. This is really important to demonstrate customers that we’re there, - stated Mr. Vivaldi. - We start to see some increasing in deposits. It’s exactly the good sign that we want to receive back from the customer base".

He also underlined that in this moment UniCredit Bank concentrated to run ordinary business operations, especially in trade finance, work with companies-exporters etc.
