OREANDA-NEWS.  The LADA Samara family, which is already out of production, is still in the best demand in the Russian aftermarket. In 2014 this model was chosen by about 610,000 motorists. These data are included in the new report "Used passenger car market in Russia. Results of  2014, Trends and Prospects", prepared by AUTOSTAT analytic agency.

The Ford Focus became the best selling used foreign vehicle with over 140,000 vehicles. However, this model took only the fifth place, having yielded to LADA vehicles (besides the Samara, the Classic, the 110 and the Priora).

Sedan is traditionally the most popular body type with a little less than a half (47.2%) of the aftermarket. The demand for hatchback is twice less (23.7%). SUVs and crossovers continue to gain popularity (18.6%). Estate cars generate 5.8% and minivans and compact vans form 3.8% of the total sales. Pickups, coupes, cabriolets and roadsters generate less than 1% of the market together.
