OREANDA-NEWS. UniCredit Bank is indignant at the law enforcement agencies’ methods of work. This was stated by the UniCredit Bank first deputy chairman of the board Tamara Savoschenko.

"Today, the General Directorate of Security Service of Ukraine (SBU) conducted search and seizure of documents of some UniCredit Bank customers and partners. In their actions they referred to the decision of Pechersk District Court on investigating a criminal case under article of "financing of terrorism". The bank has provided all the required information, facilitating the possible investigation. At the same time, the very methods of work are surprising - as a law-abiding market participant, UniCredit Bank always provides similar information upon the court decision at the required deadlines, that’s why there was no need of search. But the SBU employees agreed to the blocking of the offices, the restriction of movement of employees, etc. We had a similar experience two years ago, when the searches were conducted in the bank offices and operational activity of the bank was practically blocked. Till this very day we were sure that such methods would never be used in our country again,"- declared Tamara Savoschenko.

Currently, all bank branches are operating.

"The SBU does not have any pretensions towards the bank’s work. We are a part of international financial group and always operating fully in the legislative field," - said Mrs. Savoshchenko.
